Visiting café Granola

Last week I visited the café Granola at Værnedamsvej in Vesterbro. We ordered coffee, tea and cakes. I was very impressed by the details: the nice little raspberry ornament on top of the cupcake, a glass of water with every hot drink and a little cookie on the side. Felt like being in Italy :)

Night of culture

Every year in Copenhagen we have something called "Kulturnat" - culture night. These are pictures from the one there was recently:

"Strøget" - the big shopping street in Copenhagen. There is not usually this many people there at night.

The city hall of Copenhagen.

Someone playing the sax and a lot of people watching.

To get free entrance to the activities at Kulturnat you have to buy a badge and wear it. These are the badges from the last four years, which my boyfriend wore this time.

I bike Copenhagen

Really nice bike! As you will see if you visit Copenhagen, there are lots of cool bikes. That's because we're so eager to protect the environment... oh, and we don't like to spend too many money on busses and cars!

Flowerpower in traffic

In Copenhagen the hippie movement has apparently embraced traffic signs. I like it.

Nature vs. girly art

This example of street art from Frederiksberg is very simple, but still very nice and original!

Little birdie

Who needs to go to the zoo, when these kinds of birds are flying around Copenhagen?

Pride

This weekend in Copenhagen featured the gay festival Copenhagen Pride. This house at Nørrebrogade celebrated the event with the colors symbolizing gay pride.

Keeping Copenhagen warm

At Frederiksberg I found this lamp post covered in a special sweater... The sign says "Pirate knit - keeping the city warm".

Bugs

There are of course bugs in Copenhagen, but we love it here anyway. Especially since spring has come.

Cph covered in ice and snow

This is a mini model of Copenhagen in front of The Museum of Copenhagen, but it pretty much covers the feeling most of the inhabitants of the real size Copenhagen have at the moment: It's all just snow snow snow...

Funny art pieces by the faculty of Humanities at University of Copenhagen, Amager.

Even beer freezes in Copenhagen these days.

Street art is a dominating part of Copenhagen, and even huge ice cubes in the middle of the street don't avoid it.
